Irish Meadows by Susan Anne Mason

Book: Irish Meadows
Author: Susan Anne Mason
Publisher: Bethany House
Publishing Date: July 7, 2015

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review.

My interest in this book is: Honestly, I liked the cover and love all things Irish. (Just see my posts about Michael K. Reynold's Heirs of Ireland series)

Type of Book: Fiction Romance, 1911, Long Island, New York, Horse Ranch and the city

Ideas / message / plot: Don't let people run you over/run your life. Stand up for what you believe in.

Favorite characters, quotes / lines: The entire cast of this book is clever and likable (at least by the end). ;-)

When I finished this book I felt: Happy for everyone. Upon reflection, this book seems to me to have a feel similar to Tamera Alexander's Belmont series as it has a location with a dominant character who rules the roost mixed with her Belle Meade series because of the horses.

Overall: A pleasant read with a well written cast of characters with problems enough to keep you reading through the end while rooting for them all the way. I enjoyed this cute story and am left ready for the sequel without feeling stranded by the plot but curious about some of the more minor characters.

A bonus: Boy! Can this author write a romantic scene! *swoon* (I won't tell you who it involves though! You'll have to read it for yourself.)
