My interest in this book is: Ok, with reviews from most of my favorite authors, how could I resist? Michelle Griep is new to me but these fav.s raved so I had to read! (Who were these great and favorite authors? Laura Frantz, Erica Vetsch, Elizabeth Ludwig, Siri Mitchell, Jody Hedlund, Julie Klassen, MaryLu Tyndall)

Type of Book: Historical Fiction, London 1807 

Ideas / message / plot:  A saucy daughter meets her match when the perfectly cast Nicholas Brentwood enters here world.

Favorite characters, quotes / lines: Brentwood is everything he should be and makes this book happen!

"The woman was deadly--on more levels than he'd care to descend."

"Despair didn't just weight the soul; it scarred the face."

"Nothing was more torturous than dressing in garments tighter than a straightjacket while eating fish bait served on fine china."

When I finished this book I felt: this was such an enjoyable read! I thought the ending felt a little rushed but overall I adored this story and the characters. 

Overall: I really think you should crack open the new year with this adventuresome story; you can't go wrong. 

4.5 stars ~ Bookshelf worthy
