Hearts Made Whole by Jody Hedlund

Book: Hearts Made Whole (Beacon of Hope #2)
Author: Jody Hedlund
Publisher: Bethany House
Publishing Date: June 1, 1015

I received a copy of this book from www.Netgalley.com and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Why I picked this book: As I'm sure you're aware, if you've followed my blog for any amount of time, that I love certain authors and will be on my game to let you know of their latest releases. Jody Hedlund is one of these authors that I know won't disappoint.

Type of book: 1865 Michigan, Lighthouse on Lake St. Clair

Message / Plot: God knows exactly what you need, when you need it; no matter our inadequacies, God has a plan for each of us~as we are; overcoming hopelessness

Favorite character, quote / line: "Sometimes she thought when God had made her, he hadn't stamped hard enough. The imprint He'd made on her was faded, thin, and inconsequential next to Tessa's vibrant and curvy beauty."

When I finished this book: "Together." That line sums it up. Together with God. Together with the people He puts in our lives. Together we are made whole. I love the way Jody brings a message to life in such a beautiful, poetic way. Her books make excellent book club/reading group books because the messages given in all her books are worth processing, not just closing of the cover after a happy ending.

Overall: I deem this one bookshelf worthy because the message can almost always speak to us, no matter what season of life we are in ~ and that makes it great for passing on to friends to read, too. ;-)

If you haven't already, don't forget to pick up the first book of the Beacon of Hope series, Love Unexpected. The novella that kicked off this series is still FREE on Amazon, so don't pass it up.
