Book: Surprised by Love (book #3 in The Heart of San Francisco series)
Author: Julie LessmanPublisher: Revell
Publishing Date: October 21, 2014
My interest in this book: Follow up to a series
Type of book: San Francisco, 1904
Ideas/message/plot: Forgiveness
Favorite characters, quotes/lines: All the characters are so well developed that I turly do love them all. Who doesn't love Bram, though?! Sensitive, athletic, compassionate, intelligent, in love with God.
Fav quote? I won't give away the scene but it goes something like this:
"'Even if it's you?'
'Especially if it's me.'"
Yep, this one will get 'cha!
Overall: Julie Lessman draws you in with the romance then hits you with a message that reaches your soul. What a beautiful gift! Usually, I like to say that a book will make an excellent movie; I can't say that about this book. I want to see this as a television series! Seriously, I can't get enough of this family and just one movie per book would not satisfy my hunger to know them more! They give such great life-lessons and are such wonderful examples that this series would be a well-loved television series. I would adore watching them every week--the banter, the life, the love, the adventures. Each character is so alive and realistic, their lives so special. You are sure to be touched by this passionate family! (But start at the beginning, with book #1!)
5 star. Bookshelf worthy!
